C38 Annapolis Raftup
Sailed to Whitehall Bay just north of Annapolis, MD to meet up with other C38 sailors. 15-20knts NNW, degrading through the afternoon. Met up with The Blonde Stranger out of Middle River, Escape out of South River, and Wings all the way from Duluth, MN en route to Cuba(?) We all went for a sail on Momentous that evening before a BBQ and happy hour.
Labor Day Weekend 2012 Log: Party Cruise
- Youngs Boat Yard to Bay Bridge: 2.5hhrs 8-11knts WSW. 110% Jib. Marc, Phil, Danielle, Mark
- (cont) 3.5hrs to Annap Harbor. 8-15knts HOT!
- Met Brett ("Jazz") East Port. Back Creek (off to right @ apmnt complex. bath shower power)
- East Port to Rhode River Basin. 2:15. 8knts wind. & motor. (Took too wide a course around south river instead of pointing to Rhode after Thomas Point Light.) HOT!!!
- Rhode R. basin lots of boat traffic. drug 70ft rode in 10feet water during storm. (Bryce's Party.)
- Rhode R. to Bay Bridge: 2:15. Motor 2200 RPM temp high (steam): 200rpm @ 185* and 5knts of aprnt wind at running tode = 4.3 knots. (running too hot at 2100/2200rpm. steam.) FLIES!!!!!!!!
- Arrived Youngs Boat Yard: 3:15pm. Motor. (6hrs)

Nice people, so far I would recommend their services.
Below is a short video that shows Momentous on various points of sail with a 114% jib. Basically just trying to see what sail trim and rig looks like at various points of sail.
Stove:
Removed 3 burner stove and oven, 2 10lb tanks with double regulator, soleniod, propane tank box. wires etc. All working order. FOR SALE. Hit me.
