Yacht Rock, Nor'Easters and New Reefing Points

Thurs. Yacht Rock Review at Little Havannas in Federal Hill, Balt. All the smooth 70's rock you can take. Got us in the mood for some boating.

Sat: 11knts NE, beautiful sail down the Bay... Turned to come home... Boom 23knts on the nose with black skies within 5mins time. Hove-to and engaged the new reefing system = cheek block on starboard side boom, and pad-eye on port side boom, up through the main reef point. (This now prevents the boom from resting on the dodger top while closed-hulled on a reefed main by allowing the out haul to lift the boom when reefed.) Worked great.

Sun: Picked Up a used 4hp motor for the dink. Excited. Sailed: Light & variable from the S. 0-5. Motored over to Rock Creek to catch a glimpse of WITCHCRAFT. Couldn't tell what she was, but sure was pretty. Sailed back in 11knts S under dark skies.
